Prof. Tokeer Ahmad is graduated from IIT Roorkee and Ph.D. from IIT Delhi. Presently, he is full Professor at Department of Chemistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi since 2019. Prof. Ahmad has supervised 16 PhD’s, 79 postgraduates, 10 projects, published 190 research papers, one patent and three books with research citation of 7375, h-index of 50 and i10-index of 147. Prof. Ahmad is active reviewer of 172 journals, delivered 168 Invited talks, evaluated 61 external doctoral theses and presented 128 conference papers. Prof. Ahmad is the recipient of MRSI Medal, SMC Bronze Medal, ISCAS Medal, Inspired Teacher’s President of India Award, DST-DFG award, Distinguished Scientist Award, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Excellence Award of Education, Teacher’s Excellence Award and elected as Member of National Academy of Sciences India. Prof. Ahmad has been figured in World Top 2% Scientists for consecutive four years since 2020 in both coveted lists including career long by Stanford University, USA. Prof. Ahmad has been recently admitted as Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC), UK.

Prof. C.-J. Li received his Ph.D. at McGill University 1992 and was a NSERC Postdoctoral Fellow Stanford University (US). He was an Assistant (1994), Professor (1998) and Full Professor (2000) at Tulane University (US). Since 2003, he has been a Canada Research Chair (Tier I) in Green Chemistry and E. B. Eddy Chair Professor at McGill University. He was a pioneer in using water as a green solvent and a leader in developing Green Chemistry for chemical synthesis. He was listed as a highly cited researcher by Thomson Reuters (2014-2017). He received a US NSF’s CAREER Award (1997), US Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award (2001), 2010 Canadian Green Chemistry and Engineering Award, 2015 R. U. Lemieux Award and 2018 Alfred Bader Award of the Canadian Chemical Society, the 2020 Catalysis Award and the 2022 CIC Medal of CIC, the 2021 Alexander von Humboldt Research Award, and the 2018 Killam Research Fellow of the Canadian Council of Arts among others. Dr. Li was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada (2012), a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (UK) (2007), a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) (2012), Fellow of the Chemical Institute of Canada (2013), Fellow of the American Chemical Society (ACS) (2015), a Fellow of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) (2016) and a Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences (2020).

Dr. Lipshutz arrived at UC Santa Barbara in 1979 after completing a two-year American Cancer Society postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University. He received his Ph.D. from Yale University. My research goals are to understand and to design functional materials through the use of atomic-scale computer simulations and to establish the tools to do so. The methodologies I utilize are primarily machine learning, quantum mechanics, density functional theory, numerical analysis, statistical mechanics, micro kinetic modeling, and rate theory.

Litter is Doctor in Chemistry from the Buenos Aires University, Argentina (1974) with Postdoctoral stage at the University of Arizona, USA (1983). She is Senior Researcher of the National Research Council (CONICET) and Full Professor at the University of General San Martín, Argentina. She was Principal Researcher and Head of the Environmental Chemistry Remediation Division at the National Atomic Commission. Main research interests: treatment of organic and inorganic contaminants in water and air by innovative advanced technologies, especially heterogeneous photocatalysis and use of iron nanomaterials. She authored more than 250 scientific publications in international journals, books and chapters of books. She received the Mercosur Prize twice in 2006 and 2011. She was President of the Organizing Committee of the 5th International Congress on Arsenic in the Environment in Buenos Aires, Argentina, 2014. She was designated pioneer on photocatalysis in Argentina (2016). She received the Eduardo Charreau Prize 2021 Edition

Abdeltif Amrane, full Professor at the University of Rennes 1. (Google Scholar: h-index: 41; citations: 6289 // Web of Science: h-index: 32; citations: 4106). Since approximately 13 years his research is entirely devoted to the development of combined processes for the removal of organic pollutants in effluent wastewaters and gaseous emissions within the CIP team. He has managed 9 PhD theses as thesis director and 3 are in progress; he has also co-managed 6 PhD theses and 2 co-management theses are in progress. He has been involved in several projects as a manager or a participant, as well in international collaborations (Algeria, Belgium, Hungary, Iran, Lebanon, Mexico, Morocco, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Tunisia…). He is known for his research in preparation, characterization and applications of nanosized materials (magnetic fluid, magnetoliposome, magnetic nanoemulsion, magnetic nanocapsule, magnetic nanofilm, magnetic nanocomposite, nanosized semiconductors, polymeric dots, carbon dots, and graphene quantum dots). With nearly 500 published papers in peer reviewed journals, more than 12,000 citations and 15 patents, he has appeared in recent World ranking of top scientists, such as 2020-Stanford, 2022-Research.com, 2023-AD Scientific Index, and 2023-Research.com.

Prof. Chung received his PhD from State U of NY at Buffalo (USA). He had worked for US industries for 15 years before joining NUS in 1995. He has produced 48 PhD students, published 1 book, 18 book chapters, 70 patents and patent applications, 533 journal papers and 350 conference papers. He is a Subject Editor of CHERD (Chem Eng Research and Design) and editorial board members of 20 journals including J. Membrane Science, AIChE J., I & EC Research, Desalination, Separation and Purification Reviews, Chemical Engineering J., Chemical Engineering and Technology, Polymer Engineering and Science, J., Applied Polymer Science, and many others.Prof. Chung research focuses on membranes for clean water, clean energy, and CO2 capture. Novel membranes for purification of natural gas and hydrogen, and CO2 capture have been developed. Breakthroughs on high performance forward osmosis, membrane distillation and aquaporin embedded biomimetic membranes for clean water have been demonstrated. In 2005-2008, he worked as a Senior Consultant for Hyflux, led and built its membrane research team. He was a co-inventor of Hyflux Kristal™ 600 ultrafiltration membranes which commercialized worldwide. He received two IChemE “Highly Recommended” Awards in Energy and Water in 2009, and IES (Institution of Engineers, Singapore) Prestigious Engineering Achievement Award, and Hyflux‐SNIC (Singapore National Institute of Chemistry) Award in Environmental Chemistry, and IChemE in Singapore Awards in Sustainability in 2010. He was appointed as Provost’s Chair and received Research Leadership Award at NUS in 2011. He became a Fellow in the Academy of Engineering Singapore in 2012.

Sónia Carabineiro is an Assistant Professor at Nova University of Lisbon. She is a member of the editorial boards of several journals, recognized as one of the world’s top female reviewers (Publons), and evaluator of several international projects, including ERC grants. She has published more than 200 papers in reputable journals, with over 8,000 citations and a h-index of 51 (Scopus, November 2023). She has been included in the list of the worldwide most cited scientists (top 2% of Chemistry) published by Stanford University since 2017. Her research interests include with the development of composite materials for environmental protection and “green” chemistry.

Hele Guo received his bachelor's and master's degrees both from Donghua University in 2017 and 2020, respectively. He is now a Ph.D. candidate of the Department of Chemistry, KU Leuven. His current research interests focus on the controllable preparation of carbon hybrid materials and high-entropy materials for advanced energy conversion and storage. He has published more than 30 journal papers.

Mr. Javier Arroyo-Caire (H index: 2; Google Scholar) degree is in chemical engineering from the University of Seville (B.S., 2011; Spain). He has worked as a research assistant in the Chemical and Environmental Engineering Department from the University of Seville between 2015 and 2019. He is currently coursing his PhD. Studies in the Materials and Sustainability Group from Loyola University at Dos Hermanas, Sevilla, since June 2021. His PhD thesis, named “Design and screening of catalysts for green ammonia synthesis under mild conditions of temperature and pressure” is mainly focused on the synthesis of cerium-based catalysts for an efficient transition towards applicable green ammonia production.

Eslam Elsaka received his B.Sc. (2012) and M.Sc. (2019) degrees in Chemical Engineering from MTC (Egypt). Currently, he is a PhD student in chemical engineering at Université Laval (Quebec, Canada) under the direction of Professor Maria C. Iliuta (2022–2025). He was awarded a MOD scholarship from Egypt to pursue his post-grade studies in Canada. His research interests are heterogeneous catalysis, bifunctional materials, valorization of industrial wastes, biomass valorization, process intensification, and renewable hydrogen production.
